I have participated in extensive training and engage in ongoing consultation in a variety of evidence based therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (E/RP), Inference Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Nature Informed Therapy (NIT).
Education and Experience:
I received my doctoral degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Florida and completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland-College Park where I assisted with
clinical research projects in the Maryland ADHD lab. I was a clinician and trainer at Alvord, Baker and Associates for almost fifteen years before opening Summit Emotional Wellness.
